Description: Sanctuary Bistro in Berkeley is a little more upscale I'd say then other places. I would bring slightly older children here because it is also small, so young children throwing food or a fit is gonna be really center stage here. I haven't brought my bunch here yet but I think my 8 year old would like it. The brunch is what I think my girls would like. They have an array of vegan brunch items including waffles, pancakes, "egg" dishes like scramble, omelette, and florentine. The waffles have different add-in's like chocolate chips or bacon & cheese- yum! I tried the soup of the day which was curry squash & it was the highlight of my meal- so good and flavorful! I had the chilaquilles which was good but my mom had the florentine which was even better and came with a thick homemade biscuit. I wished I had tried a waffle too they looked really good and the combos looked awesome! We even stayed for dessert which was so indulgent and delicious!

Highlights: I was so in love with our dessert the decadent chocolate parfait. It was like a little taste of heavenly clouds, light & fluffy.

Tips: If you can call for reservations or go before or after the rush, because the place is small it can get a little crowded at peak hours.
