Description: Oyster Bay Regional Shoreline is a true hidden gem in  San Leandro! It is more or less hidden behind the industrial area and faces out towards the  airport and sort of to the right of  the San Leandro Marina- both of which you can see from the view of the shoreline. If you  have kids and a friendly dog than this is definitely a place you want to visit. The walk is partially off leash for your well trained furry friend. Oyster Bay has partial paved paths for your well trained wheeled child as well. For our family it is a  win-win for both. Our dog is way better off leash and our oldest daughter loves to scoot and roll on walks which is not possible every place we journey to with the dog. Oyster Bay has paths that lead you directly next to the water overlooking the Oakland airport landing strip, so if your child likes to see planes up close this is a great chance to do so. The paved path is really  nice for a roll and a stroll- we have a stroller and my older daughter has an EZ-Roller and this was a nice paved walk for us all. There are also more trails that are not paved up through the grasslands. So lots to explore!

Highlights: There are beautifully manicured rolling lawns along the main paths. Perfect for running races on, playing fetch with your dog, or taking your shoes off and just kicking back in the grass.

Tips: Bring layers! Since the paths all wind around and lead to Bay views- it gets windy!
