Description: Flying Falafel is a yummy little storefront in Downtown Berkeley's bustling Shattuck restaurant area. There are literally so many restaurants in that area to choose from so any decision is a hard one! Flying Falafel is an easy and cheap choice to get you full! They are an all vegan restaurant, so any menu item is ready for order. We tried the Flying Falafel pocket which me and my daughter really liked. We got the combo and the kids literally went through two orders of seasoned fries- which were very tasty. My favorite thing that we tried though had to be the banana milkshake! It was soooo good! Even as I write this my mouth is foaming up at the thought of it. It was sweet and had all the properties of a regular milkshake with none of the dairy!

Highlights: The people who own it or work there (not sure which one) were so nice to us! We have a sort of rowdy group and definitely made a mess and they were really nice to us the whole way, with any special requests, extra napkins, big mess, etc.

Tips: Parking is difficult around there, if you can take Bart if you have any other reason to go to the area. If not just circle til you find something. Also Berkeley parking is $2 every 20 mins- yikes! Really adds on to your tab. Luckily this is a pretty quick meal.
