Description: CuriOdyssey is located at Coyote Point in San Mateo. Coyote Point within itself is worth the visit even if you don't make it to CuriOdyssey- it is beautiful there- really beautiful! There are no dogs allowed, so don't bring your furry friends for this visit. It is a gated area of pristine waterfront, twisting bike paths, redwood trees, and ocean views. CuriOdyssey is located within Coyote Point and is a fun little visit to take your children to. They have an inside area that is all about science projects and has really fun and interesting hands on projects for children to play with. All the exhibits are cause and effect and will have your child's attention held while they try to figure it all out. They have some animals there that have been rescued from surrounding areas that are recuperating before they get released. The river otters are the most fun! Anyone who knows me, knows I love otters and the otters at CuriOdyssey are so friendly. They swim right up to the glass where you are standing as if to say hi! My daughter and me stood there entranced by them for a lengthy amount of time- so sweet! It's a small place so don't plan to spend more than two hours there, you'll have seen and done everything in that amount of time. But to make it a full day event you can take a stroll on the grounds of Coyote Point afterwards and visit the water. There is also a playground located near the bottom of the parking lot that has a lot of space and is cute.

Highlights: The otters! Love the river otters, I could watch them for a long time and still be enchanted by them. Coyote Point is beautiful in it's own right and really deserves a visit, so it's great to be able to combine both in to one fun outing! The ocean is your backdrop for your walking the grounds and it is just really pretty and peaceful.

Tips: If you have bikes bring them along, it looks like a beautiful ride among the trees and along the bay.
