Description: Belmont Park is like a sweet slice of Summer on a hot day! Located at San Diego's Mission Beach it is a must vist spot if you are visiting San Diego. Blemont Park is an admission free boardwalk (of course you pay for attractions) but at a reasonable price compared to conventional amuesment parks. The boardwalk has been recently upgraded in the last few years to offer many more attractions fun for children of all ages. The boardwalk rides include the Giant Dipper- an old school rollercoaster worthy of a ride or two, bumper cars, spinning rides, upside down opportunities, a choo choo train, submarine, and merry-go-round. The lines for the rides are never long and crowded- not more than a 5 minute wait. In recent years they have added fun attractions like mini golf, ziplining, laser tag, a ropes course, and rock climbing. There are lots of carnival style games to play, an arcade to get side tracked in, sweet treats to eat (including my favorite surprisingly vegan option of whipped pineapple), and souveniors to buy. Children will love this spot and it is somewhere you can be occupied all day!

Highlights: The best part of Belmont Park for me is that it is located at Mission Beach. The setting is ideal with gorgeous sands & waters. You can pack in a day at the Boardwalk as well as a trip to the beach all in the same visit!

Tips: If your child is going to participate in any of the activities beyond the rides opt for the wristband that includes all the activities- that way they can do more for less. If you buy tickets instead beware they go fast! Also you can rent bikes here- it is really fun to go for a bike ride on the beach!
