Bay Explorers

Bay Explorer is a guide of what to do and where to go to have fun with your family in the Bay Area.

Growing up a Bay Area native has given me the unique perspective on the in’s and out’s of Bay life. When I was younger I lived much of my life exploring the outside world with my family, friends, schools, and summer camps.

Now that I’m a mom myself I spend every weekend exploring these same spots I visited as a child with my children.

My goal is to show parents of all socio-economic backgrounds that you don't have to have a lot of money to show your kids a good time. You only need to be present and spend quality time with them. That's why I try to feature lots of low cost to no cost places and free events.

There is an endless plethora of activities, outdoors, and fun places to take your children to in this part of California where we live.  We are very fortunate to be raising our children here with so much to see and do! Hoping to inspire people to be Bay Explorers themselves. See you out there!

Piedmont Park will always be one of my favorite parks to visit. Besides the nostalgia of getting married there a couple of years ago, it makes me feel like I am tucked away in nature while still being in the city. Of course it pulls on my little hear...

With cabin fever and the rainy day blues in full swing,  I have been dreaming about sunnier days here in the Bay Area. Sunnier days where we have our pick and choose from a plethora of pools scattered all across the East Bay. Swimming is probably my...

It is the beginning of rain season in the Bay Area. We have already had a few days of consistent rain- great for the drought, bad for your cabin-fevered child.
